(Photo by Skip Hawkes)Saturday morning at approximately 8:30 a.m. the first group of canoeists and kayakers took off from the town of Kenduskeag, heading down the Kenduskeag Stream towards the finish line near downtown Bangor.

The first boaters made their way through Six Mile Falls nearly one hour and 20 minutes later (9:50 a.m.). All the photos seen here and in the photo gallery were shot from the bridge at Six Mile Falls.
